Leaf Golf Day 2015 in support of Autism NI

In the spectacular grounds of Royal Belfast Golf Club clients and friends of Leaf gathered together for a day of golf and laughs for the Leaf Annual Golf Day. Located on the shores of Belfast Lough, Royal Belfast is the oldest golf club in Ireland and boasts a beautiful course, especially on a day when at least some blue sky can be seen! It was one of those days and although there was a few suspect rain clouds golfers were in the highest of spirits.

Fourballs and Threeballs reconnected with familiar faces and connected with new faces during the putting competition and before tee-offs. It was a pleasure to welcome some of our partners to Royal Belfast – Steve Lloyd and Mike Awford of Dell Security joined us from England along with Donagh Walsh and Jonathan Eustace of Microsoft who travelled up from Dublin.

Golfers arrived back to the clubhouse after their round full of laughs and tales from the course before changing and retiring to the bar before dinner. As always Royal Belfast pulled out all the stops and delivered a delicious three course meal which was enjoyed immensely. After prize giving we heard from Sarah-Jayne Cassells of Autism NI who spoke about the very worthwhile charity the Leaf Golf Day chose to support. Autism NI is a parent led partnership organisation having been formed to promote positive collaboration between parents, professionals and individuals with Autism to address the need for appropriate services. Thank you to all our guests for attending what was a very successful and enjoyable day and for donating so generously to a very worthwhile cause.
